Anonymized visit logs (IP address and timestamp) may be retained for operational monitoring and abuse prevention. These logs are not cross-referenced with any other data source and are not used for user identification.

Geolocation data is provided by MaxMind GeoLite2 databases. The accuracy of this data depends on the database provider and may vary. IP geolocation reflects the approximate location of the network, not the precise location of the user.

Public API & Fair Use

FckMyIP provides a free, public API with the following endpoints:

• GET /api/ip — Returns geolocation data for the caller's IP address
• GET /api/ip/{address} — Returns geolocation data for a specific IP address

This API is provided free of charge for reasonable, non-abusive use. Automated mass querying, scraping, or any use that degrades service availability for other users is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to rate-limit or block any client that violates this fair use policy, without prior notice. The API is provided "as is" with no guarantee of availability or uptime.

Limitation of Liability

The information provided on this website and through its API is for informational purposes only. Cognitys makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the geolocation data displayed. In no event shall Cognitys be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this service.

Intellectual Property

The FckMyIP name, logo, design, and source code are the exclusive property of Cognitys. Any reproduction, distribution, or use without prior written authorization is prohibited. Geolocation data is sourced from MaxMind GeoLite2 and is subject to MaxMind's own licensing terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from the use of this website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent French courts.
